On the 13th and 20th July 2018, Buddha’s Light International Association (BLIA) South Island Sports Club carried out their 2nd and 3rd Futsal Games at YMCA Indoor Stadium and Catholic Cathedral College respectively. BLIA South Island Deputy Presidents Ding Lihson and James Low, and 10 other BLIA South Island member and Young Adults Division (YAD) members took part in the games. This time around, coach from Mainland Football, Sam, taught the players the skill involved in the passing of ball. According to Sam, an experienced player should first have eye contact with his teammate before passing the ball swiftly to him, and he should be able to engage his eyes and legs simultaneously in a single effortless operation. Sam reiterated that all these will only come after constant practices and after the development of mutual understanding and good coordination among teammates.

At the friendly match, BLIA and YAD members wholeheartedly immersed themselves in the game, running all over the court trying out their skills and practicing coordination among themselves as taught by Sam. As an added episode, BLIA South Island Secretary Forest Lin and son brought fun and laughter to the crowd by their performance of the Co-operating mode. Despite his busy schedule, BLIA Committee William Chong made a special effort to accompany his son Vincent to the game and stayed to watch him play, further adding warmth and joy to the event. For the coming few weeks, BLIA South Island Sports Club will continue to foster friendship and comradeship of its members through organising sports activities, and also by doing so, hope to enable members to emanate their warmth and vitality within.
